Hey Everyone, The dude to the left is me, and I'm Sankaku! I have finally Launched the new site, What do you think?
Still quite a few things to work on, but i'll get there! This time I'm going to be very dedicated to writing articles :D
My System Specs
I'll be setting up a page with my hardware specs on it very soon, one of the most asked question I get on YouTube is "What specs are you running on?". I had it on the forum of the old site, but it's time to get it back up here!
The case in this picture is my Case though :)
So guys, I'm thinking of doing some Minecraft again, Shall I upload it to SankakuGames or another channel? In talks with some others about starting up a series. I think I may prefer small amount of people though!
At long last, as my Citizen number is in the 250-350 region, I am now open to the Dogfighting Multiplayer module. So in about a week or so I'll have time to record some action as I have family visiting this week so no time to record yet.
I'll most likely be using mouse and keyboard as my Flying skills aren't perfected with the stick yet, and there are some technical issues between the game and flight sticks as far as I'm concerned as I don't have any issues in any other game. Currently why flying around in Star Citizen with my F.L.Y. 5, if I'm chasing a bogey that wants to sway side to side, when I press fire it either fires one then pauses for a long time then fires again at random time, or it just wont fire at all. I've even tried to stop the ship completely, not touch any of the controls on the stick, and then just click the trigger to fire, and still no joy :(
I hope they fix it soon, as I bought the flight stick solely for this game, and I know it's not my stick that's at fault!
Welcome back everyone,
At last, after quite a long down time I have got a website back up and running on SankakuGames, Hooray! So fracking awesome. I several different plans as part of my YouTube career in addition with this website. As I now have my website validated with my YouTube channel, I'll be able to link directly to my website from any video! So I can run competitions, tournaments (if I can be bothered), many reviews etc. Very cool feature!
With that being said I'll be looking to write up some reviews about the hardware I have purchased and linking them from my videos to the website, and in the reviews I'll have links to the videos or hopefully be able to embed them without any issues. This will help drive views to videos from people that normally look for a website to see images and stuff like that as opposed to someone like me that would rather look straight at the videos. All in all I'm hoping that it's going to be a positive thing. I may also write reviews of games and link to the games Let's Play Playlist!
In addition to all this I may have a separate blog area for just my ramblings etc, not sure if I'm going to set up a forum yet or not. It wasn't really used on the past site that much so may just be a waste of time setting it up. As long as people can reply to my reviews and posts then all should be good =]
Welcome back everyone to another review/unboxing, this time I have again invested in a new headset. I know a lot of you may be saying, "Bro, Why buy a new headset when you already have a wireless one" (Can see this here). Let me first of all begin by telling you there is no real issue with the headset from a normal user's perspective, such as a normal all day casual gamer, or someone that loves to watch Movies, Anime or listen to Music on the PC.
The reason I've come to the conclusion that I need to invest in another headset yet again is that when recording or playing casual I noticed that the head set would go dead silent every now and that, and when I say that I mean maybe two or three times a night. The silence only last around 1-2 seconds at a time, so considering how many seconds there are in a day, it's not a lot and it's not a long period of time. My only concern is that it always happened during my recording sessions. I'll save any other comments about the headset for it's own review!
It's going to be a busy couple of days, There are several things I need to get done in my personal life and my professional YouTube life. Tomorrow in my personal life I'll be heading over to Reading (UK) to buy some things I wish to get, nothing fancy, nothing that will benifit my youtube career.
Today however I will shortly be jumping onto Planetside 2 to get the content for next week (Or the week after). I say the week after as tomorrow (saturday), I also wish to record or stream another Planetside 2 event. As a couple of servers have merged, there will be an event tomorrow for the Terran Republic side to welcome the new players from the server we will be absorbing, I haven't done a stream in a long time so I might as well get in there and stream it, however If i record it, I could use it as one weeks content and the content I record tonight I could use for the week after.
It would be somewhat handy if I could just record both, as next week I have a friend coming to stay, we have some plans to discuss in regards to minecraft and the future of Sankaku Games/Craft... (hint hint).
decisions to make, people to kill, content to record!
I've been to my day job, then after that fully on like every other night. I've been out to grab a chinese take-away, then to Morrisons to pick up some liquid sugar (fizzy drinks), after that we watch a little bit of TV while eating dinner, not much tv though. I then did the dishes, and moved onto the pc to work on getting this website up to the public! It's here, hence me being able to write this now. I've also finished a recording session of Planetside 2 and had a chat with a team that's starting up about starting a new Minecraft Series.
I'm still a bit here and there with Minecraft series, I always have to think of my Subscribers, what do they want to see. A lot of people love minecraft, but quite a few don't, I obviously don't want to effect my Subscriber count as 95% of my Subscribers are here based on my Planetside 2 coverage. So it's hard to make a decision on wither I upload to SankakuGames, or to another channel I have.
I'll need to ponder over it, ask the subs and decide what I want to do, I don't really feel like I want to join a party of 6 or more for a Minecraft series, it's a lot of people to keep up with as a parent. I have to put my channel first as I wont have as much time as those that are younger than me.
I spend a lot of time whilst the wife and child are asleep trying to get things done that will benefit the channel and the Subs, such as getting extra content recorded, spending the night editing videos, planning for projects, configuring things, setting up things etc...
So tired... 3am already... and still I wanna go have some me time and sit infront of the TV to a horror movie or something, I know i'll fall asleep, always do. I do take the precaution of setting a timer on the TV, just in case.
